Hi folks,

Happy new(ish) year!

I'm planning on doing some system maintenance (minimally: disk check,
kernel upgrade) on the main server 'mythix' at:

  Friday 2005/01/14 16:00 GMT a.k.a.
  Friday 2005/01/14 08:00 PST

There are two options:

 1. very brief outage while I take disks offline. Est: 60s; max: 3min.
    The machine won't actually go off.
 2. brief outage while I do that and (attempt to) double the RAM to
    1GB. The machine could use this but it's not crucial. This will
    involve the machine being rebooted and some poking about inside.
    Est: 2min; max: 5min.

I would prefer option 2. but if anyone (quite reasonably; it's very
short notice) objects I will leave it for another time.

For those interested, mythix has been up 303 days.
