[realprogrammers hosting] Mail issue resolved

Hi folks,

Owing to an upgrade that didn't quite go perfectly recently, the mail
system has been deferring delivery of incoming messages excessively. This
has resulted in senders who have sent slightly- or very spammy looking
messages receiving "message delayed, still on the queue" reports
every day.

Unfortunately, most folks (mis)interpret these as bounces. They are not;
they are merely courtesy notices from the mail system that a delivery
hasn't been managed yet.

That said, some messages were on the queue for long enough (typically
four days) that they were actually bounced. In this case the sender
would have been made aware of this  -- nothing will've gone silently
missing.

Anyway, the issue's been resolved as far as I'm aware. Please let me
know if you spot any further problems. Sorry about the inconvenience!
