[realprogrammers hosting] 2006-06-29 Unplanned Server outage

Folks,

The main hosting server, mythix, suffered another outage today that was
traced to a networking fault in the cabinet. My window of opportunity
for investigation was quite narrow but I traced it to what appears ot be
either a faulty Cisco port or a port was switched off. I'm looking into
this as we speak. The process of actually getting "intelligent remote
hands" on to the server to help w investigation was so painful I'll be
leaving that ISP, 186K, literally as soon as possible.

I'd like to apologise again, this week, for an unplanned outage.
